NEW ZEALAND NOTES. The Linwood Borough Council (Christchurch) has passed a motion urging the Government to provide for the poor of the colony by placing them on land suitable for their maintenance. The Labour Bureau agents report that work is plentiful in the country, especially in the Hunterville and Wairarapa districts. The Mas teuton agent says that there are no unemploj’ed there and no one need be idle.
