MATAURA NEWS.

The Eerndale annual picnic was 'field on the 20th inst., and was attended hy about 250 people. Tnere were refreshments in abundance, and no end of games and sports, and a very pleasant day was spent. The Tuturau “ Snowflake ” Minstrels lately gave an entertainment in aid of the funds of their local library, and netted the very satisfactory sum of £l2. Our local picnic, is to be continued, hut no refreshments save tea will be provided.
