Sailing Boat Race, (handicapped). Boats not to exceed 20ft keel. Ist prize L 8; 2nd, L 4. Entrance fee, 7s Gd. Four starters or no race, six or no second prize. Starts at 2.30 p.m. Winners of Ist and 2nd prizes in No 3 race debarred. Handicap one and a half minute to foot on keel measurement. 8. Pair-oarcd Inrigged Race (amateurs), Ist prize L 6 ; Entrance fee 10s 6d. Three starters or no race. Starts at 3 p.m. 9. Ships’ Gig Race, Ist prize LG ; 2nd, L 4 ; 3rd, L2. Entrance fee, 10s Gd. Three starters or no second prize, four or no third. Starts at 3.30 p.m. 10. Sailing Boats’ Race, (handicapped), boats not to exceed 20ft keel. Open to losing boats in No 7 Race only. First prize L 4; 2nd, L2. Entrance fee, ss. Starts at 4 p.m. Handicap one minute and a half to foot on keel measurement.
The prizes, as stated above, arc approximate, and will be paid PBO BATA should receipts fall short of the sum required. The Committee reserve the right to cancel any races not completed or run on Begatta Day.
