The dramatic club purpose giving an entertainment on the evening of October 4th, a feature of which will be the production of a short play of considerable merit, written by a lady member of the club, and who will sustain tiic chief character. The barque An tares has been detained in port by unfavourable weather. The barquentines Dclmira and Jerfalcon and brigantine Douglas ai'e busy discharging guano. The schooner Crest of the Wave is loading timber for Lyttelton.
