HOKONUI RAILWAY EXTENSION.
The following resolution was passed at yesterday’s meeting of the County Council: That the County Chairman be authorised to apply to the Government for a grant for extending the Forest Hill tramway to McDonald’s corner—such grant to cover all cost of construction, survey, compensation, and all other expenses, and that the County Engineer prepare an estimate of the cost of the work proposed.
