A. A. Mac Gibbon. (on behalf of the National Mprtgage\/’and;/Agenpy: Company) reports as follows— Owing to the extremely wintry weather, very little business has been done this week in stock. Sales have been very poorly represented, and those that had stock for sale preferred keeping them at home to troubling about driving them to a sale. The demand, however, for all classes of stock continues very: good, and all offering are easily disposed of at slightly improved prices. •: Sales have been held at Gore and Mataura this week, but very little stock came forward. Fair quality store wethers sold up. to 11s 6d ; small do 7s 7d; medium lambs to 6s 6d ; merino ewes to 4s. Good steers from £4 to £4 15s; young cattle to 50s. Mataura sale, very little stock forward. Good lambs to 8s 4d ; medium to 6s 6d. Forward condition wethers to 12s 9d. Young cattle to 34s ; store cows to 60s ; light weight bullocks to £5. One draught colt £6 10s ; gelding £ls 15s. The . demand for good cattle still continues, and any number can readily be placed at very good prices.
