GRAIN REPORT. A good enquiry has existed the last fortnight for good feed oata, which are worth Is 6d, sacks s£d, at country stations. Most of the crop has now been sent in, but a few are holding till spring, when better prices are expected. Wheat. —Not much doing. Only prime samples will command late rates 2s 4d, sacks extra; inferior, Is XOd, delivered in town, Barley.—Nothing doing. No prime malting samples about, but a few odd lots of inferior offering which sell at from 3s to 3s 6d, according to quality; at country stations. “"Ryegrass. —There is a fair demand for this «ereal, farmers’ samples being worth 2s 6d to 2s 9d for good clean seed. Linseed. —£11 on trucks. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Sydney, May 17. Wheat —Chick, 3s to 3s 6d ; milling is unchanged. Oats —Bright feed, 2s 8d; seed, 2s 7d to 2s Bd. Potatoes Circular Heads, £3 10s to £3 10s 6d. Cheese —3.)d to sd. Bacon, 6d to Bd. Melbourne, May 17. Bran, 9d; pollard, 10£d. Oats—Banish, Is lOd to Is lid; stout milling, Is lid - Barley—Cape, 2s; malting “4s 4d to 4s 9d. Potatoes £2 15s to £3. Butter, in boxes, lojd ; in tins, Is Cheese—New Zealand loaf, s£d.
