GRAIN REPORT.
The weather since last week Mas been very good, and the grain has been coming in in great quantities. The bulk of. the crop will be in by the end of this month, and we expect that deliveries after that date will bo small. Feed for stock is running short, and in consequence we expect that a good deal of oats not already threshed will be chaffed. Oats. —The market has been dead all the week- The price has dropped still further to Is id to Is ,43d at wayside stations and bags 5-id. There is not a great deal offering, however, and wo do not expect prices will go hack any more. The price to-day is la 4d to Is 4£d at wayside stations, bags extra. Wheat.-—There is an improved demand for this cereal. A good lot has been sold during the past week, at equal to 2s 6d, sacks in, on trucks at wayside stations, and the price to-day is fairly firm at that. Linseed. —Very little about at £lO, country stations. . • Barley.—Nothing doing. Quotations,, nominally 3s 6d per bushel on trucks, hags extra, Byegrass. —Practically nothing doing, prices 2s to 2e 3d, bags 5Jd at wayside stations. Chaff—Truck lota £2 15s per ton, buyers supplying bags.
