BOARD GAINS 277 CONSUMERS IN A YEAR. OVEE SEVENTY MILKING SHEDS CONNECTED. The numbers of coiinections for various purposes in the Horowhenua River Board's area during the past twelve months were shown.in a report present 'ed to the-Board yesterday, by the Engineer (Mr J. A. Smith) as follows:--Milking sheds 72 Eanges 73 Waterheaters HI Consumers 277 - Connected load, k.w. .. 1028

Reporting for the past month, the Engineer stated that 27 applications for installations Ave re received from new consumers and 50 applications for extensions to existing services, comprising 11 ranges, 8 water-heaters, 5 milk ing and separating motors, 3 pumping, 3 shearing, and 6 industrial motors. Thirty-eight new consumers and 23 extensions were connected, including 4 ranges, 6 waterheaters, 13 milking and separator motors, 6 small refrigerators, and 3 pumping motors. The Makerua-Tane. extension consumers were connected during the period.

The analysis of the connected load to December 10th, 1929, showed the to tals in the. district to be as under: —
