PRESBYTERIAN YOUNG WORSHIPPERS LEAGUE.
PRIZE GIVING. A very pleasant little gathering was held in the Shannon Presbyterian Church on Tuesday evening, the occasion being the presenting of prizes to the young worshippers for attendance at church. There was a good attendance, vet the heavy rain kept many awav. "All the events of the evening were conducted by the young people themselves, who presented a varied programme of songs, recitations, etc., which proved very enjoyable. The masterly way in which the young people provided the entire programme, caused those present to hope that they' would hold another concert at an early date. The following is the programme Avhich was, presented:—Eecitation, Evelyn Williamson; recitation, Muriel Marriott; recitation, Doris Busst; "When we are Men," Boys; recitation, Jean Corlett; "Short Catechism," Grace' Miller; hymn, "Jesus Bids us Shine," young children; recitation, Deen Busst; Memory Lesson, May Gardiner; dialogue, Laura McCulloch and Margaret Jamieson; hymn "Starlight," Girls; recitation, Evelyn Williamson; The Creed, Nola Miller; Memory Certificate, Boys; recitation, Pearl Sands and Myra Miller; song, Nella Pirovanu; song, Euby Sands, Pearl Sands, Dulcie Miller, Jessie Sandison; song, Betty Pranks; competition, boys; Closing Aldress, Geo. Eadford: •The young worshippers to receive prizes were: —Eichard Bryant, John Mitchell, Eric Marriott, Cyril, Marriott, Maurice Marriott, Walter Blaikie, William Hill, Wallace Jamieson, George Eadford, Steve Telfer, Eoslya Williamson, Marcus Sandison, Muriel Marriott, Margaret Jamieson, Jessie Blaikie, Alice Blaikie, Marjory Blaikie, Joan Hill, Edna Hill, Shirley Sunley, Evelyn Williamson, Annette Mitchell, Jessie Sandison.
Opportunity was taken by Eev. It. Williamson to eulogise the services rendered by Mrs McCulloch and the effective way in which she kept the records of attendance. In replying- Mrs McCulloch said that there are many more young people she would like to see enrolled in the Young Worshippers' League. At the conclusion the young p'eople handed round supper which was enjoyed by all, this bringing a pleasant evening to a close.
