"CHRISTMAS SEAL” ISSUE.

ANTI TUBEROUI.OSIS FUND,

“The Christmas Seal,” a 2d stamp —-a penny being for postage and a penny for the anti-tuberculosis fund —will be issued at ppst offices throughout the Dominion shortly. It is considered opportune to intr >- duce the stamps at this time of the year, and the charitable aim is expected to appeal to the community. The scheme gives an opportunity to those who can contribute only very modest- , ly to charitable works. } The fund is to be üßed in the main A for prevention work among children who are in contact with sources of infection. One of the objects is to inaugurate health camps to which children who have been “contacts” with cases of tuberculosis can be sent. The Health Department hopes by this means to safeguard many young lives. Each stamp will have a postage value of Id only, and if used on receipts it will be necessary to affix two, thus providing for the duty and leaving 2d for the health fund.
