J. C. WILLIAMSON MANAGEMENT.

AN IMPORTANT APPOINTMENT. The appointment of Mr Harry P. Muller as general manager for New Zealand for J. C. Williamson, Ltd., is confirmed from Sydney, a cable to this effect having been received last. evening by Mrs Muller, who is at present staying with her sister, Mrs C. W. Mellor, of Ohau. Mr Muller succeeds the late Mr Bert Royle in one of the most responsible positions under the well-known theatrical organisation with which he has been connected for a number of years, latterly as the Firm’s representative in San Francisco. Mr Muller is an old Palmerstonian, where he went to school, and was managing clerk in a legal office. After studying law for six years, he was attracted to the theatrical profession, in which he had always taken a deep interest, and became manager of the old Theatre Royal ,in Palmerston; from whence he graduated into the Williamson organisation, where liis ability and personality soon won for him rapid preferment. Mr and Mrs Muller recently returned from San Franciscp and are looking forward to again settling in their own country. Mr Muller’s many friends in New Zealand will hear with pleasure of his return and advancement.
