ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS' REPORT. At the Levin weekly stock sale on Tuesday Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., offered fair yardings of sheep 'and cattle and a small entry of pigs, to a good attendance of the public. Prices were realised as under: —
Sheep.—Wether hoggets, shorn, 14s 3d, 18s to 20s 4d; woolly ewe hoggets, 28s lid; shorn blackfaco hoggets, 10s 6d.
Oattlo. —Fat cows, £l2 10s; vealers, £3; store cows, £3 2s; yearling Jersey heifers, £7 7s 6d; bulls, £2 17s 6d, £4 5s to £5 ss; dairy cow's, £lO, £lO 10s to £l3 10s. ' ,
Pigs. —Slips, 8s to 14s; stores, 26s 6d, 28s to 31s.
LOAN AND MERCANTILE The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having offered at the Levin yards, on Tuesday, a small entry of sheep and good yardings of cattle and pigs. Competition was brisk, and practically a clearance was made at the following prices:— Sheep. —Fat woolly ewes, 295. Cattle.—Fat cows, £7 to £9 7s 6d; Fwd. cond. do., £4 5s to £5; stores, £3 15s to £4; yearling Jersey cross heifers, £4 19s to £6 10s; yearling bulls £5 10s to £5 15s; potter bulls, £6 10s to £7; pedigree Jersey yearling heifers, 10s to Hgns, do. bulls, 10 to 11 gns. Pigs.—Baconers, £3 15s; light porkers, £2 2s to £2 6s; choppers, £3 12s 6tf to £4 ss; good stores, 26s to 365; small do., 18s to 235; weaners, 13s to 17s 6d.
