London, Wednesday.—Addressing the Hairdressers’ Guild Conference in Manchester, a delegate stated that the day of the Eton crop was over, longer hair had returned to fashion and tlur shaven neck had passed out of existence. Flying by Night. London, Wednesday.—Germany intends developing an aerial night service between Berlin and London in 1930, aeeordig to the Director of Civil Aviation, Sir Scfton Branckcr. He added that, with night-flying a two-day air mail service to India would eventually be possible. Liquor and Licensing. London, Wednesday.—The Royal Commission on the working of licensing laws in England and Wales will next week begin its investigations which are expected to last two years, and which will include the working of prohibition in the United States.
