SHANNON CRICKET CLUB.
At a meeting held in the Borough Council Chambers on Monday evening, it was decided to form a Cricket Club in Shannon. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr E. Butt; president, Mr Mabey; vicepresidents: Messrs J. Curran, R. Buckman, H. Hook, L. F. Jones, T. Moyni* han, Jhing Lee, F. Easton, A. E. Hyde, J. T. Bovis, R. Downes, A. 11. Morgan, F. Peach, J. Roach, W. Moynihan, H, Blaikie, W. Chase, C. Speirs, D. McLaggau, G. Quarrie, L. Marks, Todd, G. Mitchell; secretary, 0. Leighton; club captain, F. Picard; coach, Y. Pope; custodian, Ray Downes; delegate to - Ilorowhenua Cricket Association, Mr J. Mabev.
The fixtures for Saturday, October 26: —Weraroa v. Otaki, at Otaki; Shannon v. Paraparaumu, at Paraparaumu; -Levin, a bye. The following will represent Shannon against Paraparaumu, at Paraparaumu, on Saturday, 26th: —F. Picard, J. Mabey, C. Leighton, D. Mercer, T. Booker, T. Cavanagli, T. Jude, F. Brady, D.' i Rutherford, liemmingsen, W. Warman, T. Roach, R. Downes. Bus leaves Wilkinson’s Garage 12.30 *' p.m. sharp; any player unable to travel to notify secretary without delay.
