GOLF.
Mr C. Stern, a member of the Shannon Golf Club, who is also a country member of the Levin Club, playing in the latter Club’s junior championship and also for the I-leathcrlea Club was successful in carrying off both trophies. This is rather an accomplishment for a player so young at the game. Messrs Leng-Ward and W. J. Goodwin, members of the Shannon Club are competing in the Manawatu Gcdf Championship which begins at Palmerston North to-morrow. To them we offer, our best wishes.
