A "LIVE" BED.
ELECTRICITY LEAKAGE
DUBBO (N.S.W.), Sept. 12,
A very narrow escape from electrocution was the experience of Mr Adams, a guest at the Club House Hotel. He had an electric movable reading lamp attached to the head of the bed, and through a leakage the whole of the rn-3taf bedstead became charged with electricity.
Adams placed his hand on the rail at the foot of tlie bed and received a violent shock. So severe was this that he was partially paralysed, and was unable to call for assistance.
Fortunately, just as he was losing consciousness, in a last supreme effort he disturbed some 'furniture which broke the contact and freed him from his perilous position.
