LEVIN STOCK MARKET.
LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at the Levin yards on Tuesday, they offered a small” entry of sheep, a medium yarding of cattle, together with a heavy yarding of pigs, io a good attendance of buyers. Competition was keen, and a total clearance was made under the hammer at the following prices:—
Sheep.-—Medium ewe hoggets 30s 2d, medium wether hoggets 23s 6d, fat hoggets 26s 6d. Cattle. —Good fat cows £9 10s to £l2 2s 6d, medium do. £6 10s to £8 ss, forward conditioned do. £4 15s to £6, 'store do.- £4 to £4 15s; coloured yearling heifers, £3 15s to £4 ss; bull, £8; dairy cows in full milk £l2 to £l6 10s, springing cows £lO to £l2 15s, heifei'3 close to profit £l2 to £l3. Pigs.-;—Baconers £3 15s to £4 10s; heas 7 y porkers £2 15s to £3 9s, light do. £2 to £2 12s 6d; good stores 27s to 33s 6d, medium do. 20s to 255, small do. J./S to 20s; weaners, 14s to 225; sows with litters £6 to £6 2s Gd, sows r.w.b. 50s. ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS. At the Levin stock sale on Tuesday, Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., submitted a small entry of sheep and medium yardings' of cattle and pigs, to a good attendance. They quote as under: — Sheep. —Prime hoggets 375, ewes 255, wethers 34s 9d, fat hoggets 29 s lOd, wether hoggets 265. Cattle.—Light Jersey cows £6 ss, empty cows £3 15s to £B, empty heifers tu 17s to £6 6s, Jersey bull £5 2s 6d, steers £7 10s to £ll.
Pigs.—Sow and litter £5 os, slips 15s to 255, weaners 19s to 20s 6d, porkers £2 9s to £3 17s, bactmers £4 12s.
