MANGAORE TENNIS CLUB.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of Mangaore Tennis Club was held on Wednesday evening, the 11th instant, Mr I. R. Robinson presiding over an attendance of twenty-four members. The annual report disclosed that the Club had experienced a very quiet season. Two friendly matches were played with the Shannon Club, the Club winning in their second venture. The social side was not neglected, visitors from other Clubs being made very welcome. Two socials were held to mark in a measure the opening day and windup of the season, both evenings being complete successes. The balance sheet showed that the receipts were £2O 13s 2d and the expenditure £lO 5s Sd,, leaving a credit balance at the Post Office Savings Bank of £lO 7s 6d.
The report and balance sheet were adopted. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Officers for the ensuing year wers .elected as follows: —President, Mr I. E. Robinson (re-elected); vice-presi-dents, Messrs A. R. Blackwood, C. E. Elvines, and W. A. Surridge (all. reelected); hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr F. C. Tregurtha; hon. auditor. Mr K. S. Henry; club captain, Mr J. F. Ostler; vice-captain, Mr H, T. Hartley. Management Committee, the President, club captain, vice-captain, secretary, Messrs J. D. Campbell, W. B. King and W. A. Surridge. Six new members were elected. The opening day was set down for October 12th.
