BOWLING.

HOW THE GAME GROWS. The latest figures from the North and South Islands' Bowling Centres, give a fairly clear indication of the strength of bowling in the Dominion. The North Island has ten centres and 186 affiliated clubs. The total membership for the 'island is now 10,328, an increase of 49 players over, the previous year's estimate. The South Island has ten centres, 128 clubs, and 5758 members, this total being seven less than last year. The Dominion figures are as follow, 20 centres, 314 clubs, membership 16,086, an increase of 42 players. The coming season is expected to be a record one; several new clubs are to be brought into existence and this will probably give the Dominion figures a big lift.
