RICHARD BARTHELMESS ON SAT-
URDAY. In "Out of the Ruins," the First National starring Richard. Barthelmess, a young lieutenant of chasseurs in the French Army during the war falls in love, while on leave, with the sister of his mate. They are separated by the call to duty and a slacker tries to marry the girl. Unable to get leave when he hears this, the lieutenant deserts and is court-martialled when he goes back. How problem is straightened out to the satisfaction of all "makes a very fine drama. The picture will be screened on Saturday. "THE LITTLE SNOB." "The Little Snob," a Warner Master Picture, starring May McAvoy, will be screened on Monday. May McAvoy is cast as the daughter, of a Coney Island showman. Out of the old man's savings he sends her to a fashionable boarding school, where she takes on airs and begins'to consider father and the rough-neck beau of Coney Island days quite beneath her notice. How the rough-neck thrashes the cad, how the little snob flares up in wrath, how the rich friends evaporate, and a score more sequences make the play one of the most amusing as well as most humanly gripping comedies of the season.
