The Chairman,: If you could not trade in Le\-in, you could not trade, in Palmerston, under a universal half-holi-day. Saturday afternoon open suits us very Avell. < Cr. Ryder: It suits the country people and the small town. The Chairman: It does not suit the big towns. Cr. Gimblett: They tell us what time to get up in the morning. They will presently' tell us Avhat time to go to bed. They will tell us yet when we are going to die. Cr. Ryder: We feed them all; there is no getting away from that.
