SECRETARY RETIRES AT END 0? • YEAR. MR RAM-SAY TO BE SUCCESSOR. The re-organisation of the staff so far a 3 it affects the position of its chief executive officer, was dealt with by the Horcwhenua Power Board a: its meeting on Tuesday. It rvas decided that the present Secretary and Treasurer, Mr P. W. Goldsmith;, should retire on superannuation after the close of the present year. At date of retirement Mr Goldsmith, who has been secretary to the Board since its inception in 1922, will have completed 24 years’ service in local bodywork. The Board also decided to appoint its present accountant, Mr F. J. Ramsay, to the position of secretary and treasurer to the Board when Mr Goldsmith vacates these offices. Mr Ramsqy has been with the Board since 1924, and •was formerly Town Clerk of the Borough of Balclutha, and later of tlie Borough of Levin.
