MANAWATU FIXTURES.

JUNE 22 APPROVED FOR HORO WHENUA.

At last evening's meeting of the Manawatu Rugby District Council, a letter was received from the Horowhenua Council, suggesting June ,22nd as the date for the Manawatu-Horowhe nua fixture, with Shannon as. a possible venue. It Was also suggested thata B representative game be played again this year.

The date suggested; was approved and it was decided to play both A and B games. The spcretary was instructed also to'inquire from Horowhenua whether Wednesday, July 10, would be a suitable date for the return game. In suggesting that this game be played on a Wednesday, the manage ment committee * took into consideration the fact that the club competitions would be interrupted if the game were played, on a Saturday. Tin 1 opinion, was expressed that the competitions should be interrupted as little as possible.
