The country which it is proposed to hunt over abounds in animal life in great variety, among the land genera being the elephant, jion, panther, leopard, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, buffalo, and antelope of more than 20 species, ranging from a creature only the size of a hare to one bigger than •a cow. In the rivers and lagoons crocodiles are plentiful, while the denizens of the air are of a great manty 1 kinds. The African trip will practically cover the route taken by Messrs H. Hart and V. Donald, of Masterton, in 1927. The equatorial region will be reached in the dry season, as the rains do not start till October. The actual shooting season opens about the •Ist of August.

Mr Bould hopes to be back in Levin at the end of November or early in 'the following month. His many friends will wish him, as well as his companion, a safe and successful tour.
