CROQUET.
MUNICIPAL CLUB. : Members of the Municipal Club had an open day on Wednesday when visitor's were present from Manakau and Otaki Clubs. The day was fine and all thoroughly 'enjoyed themselves. Competitions were, held and resulted: — Hitting the peg, Mrs. Atkinson (Otaki); French, Mrs. Wilson (Otaki)'; golf, Mrs. Evans (Manakau); ladder, Mrs. Herriek (Manakau). A match for the Nicholson mallets resulted in Mesdames Wilson and Gillespie defeating Mesdames Evans and Pearse, 26 — 11. Mesdames Bryant ' and Bowling (Manakau) have now issued a challenge.- In the play-off for the "B' brooch Mrs. Hagan beat Mrs. Morgan, 26—20.
