BANDITS RAID SYNAGOGUE.

EIGHTY VICTIMS. RABBI'S MONEY BACK. ("Sun" Special.) CHICAGO, Tuesday. Cursing and brandishing revolvers, five robbers swaggered into a meeting of the First Rumania Congregation Synagogue, lined 80 victims against the wall, and stripped them of £15,000 in cash and jewels. Included in the loot were two diamond rings worth more than £BOO each. The meeting was listening to Mr Victor Phillips, representing the Rumanian Government, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the United Rumania. He and 6ther official were amongst those searchedPhillips was in the midst of his aadress when the robbers arrived, and ranged the crowd against the walls, snatching rings and bracelets from the women, and currency from the men. They deferentially returned Eabbi Harry Goldstein's money to him when they recognised his office.
