GOVERNMENT PRAISED.
LABOUR MEMBER'S TRIBUTE.
The attitude of Labour members of Parliament to the Government, as indicated by Mr Lee-Martin, M.P. for Raglan, shows that the Government iaay cpunt on Labour',a support. Speaking at a public meeting at Monavale, Mr Lee-Martin stated that, though not a member of the United Party, he must say that the Government appeared anxious to serve the needs of the people of the country. So long as they continued to do so he would give them his support. There was no doubt, continued the speaker, that the Ministry in eluded many most excellent and capable men, while Sir Joseph Ward was really a marvel at present. The Minister of Lands had a tremendous task before him, but was tackling it with resolution, and he was sure the eoun•try would benefit largely by keeping Mr Forbes in office. Mr F. Lye, M.P. for Waikato, who spoke immediately) afterwards, expressed his pleasure at hearing the tribute paid by Mr Lee-Martin to the •present Ministry.
