PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly committee -meeting ol the Shannon branch of the Plunket Society was held in thePlunket rooms on Tuesday evening. Mrs H. CliffordJones presided over a good attendance of members. The‘Nurse’s report for the month showed that the number of babies that visited the room was quite satisfactory, though not so large as the previous month. A letter of appreciation and thanks was received from the matron of the All Saints ’ Children’s Home, Palmerston North, acknowledging the sack of vegetables forwalded through Rev. Parnell from the stall at the recent garden fete. An invitation was received from the Levin branch for members to attend, their annual meeting.—Several members notified.that they would be present.
