BOWLING.
A party of bowlers from the Plitf merton Club visited Shannon on Wet nesday, when two rinks tried eonclus ions with rinks from the local Olul. The games proved'very enjoyable an were keenly contested*. Each Clu won a game, Shannon winning cn th aggregate by three points. The .fol lowing are the results. The Plimmcj ton rinks being mentioned first: — McKenzie, Barlow, Edginton, Bun: ham (s) 20 lost to E. Gunning, Hill Clayton, Knowles (s) 30. Patrick, Neale, Butt, Hazelwood (s 23 defeated Br-ann, Baxter, Grey Bov is (s) 16. Upon the arrival of the visitors bv the'morning t-iain they were motored out to Mangaore to see the povvei house.
The committee decided at a meeting on Tuesday evening to close the present season on Wednesday, 24th April A new procedure is to be adopted on this occasion, by inviting members oi neighbouring clubs to attend. It wa.also decided that the green be. grazed with lambs during the winter monthwith a view to keeping the grass dowi: and that the green receive a light top dressing which is to be carried out under the supervision of Mr Blackwood
