CRICKET.

MATCH AT WOODVILLE. An eleven composed mostly of members of the Otaki Cricket Club, helped by two members of the Weraroa Club (O'Connor and Bull) travelled to Woodville on Wednesday and, with perfect weather, had a most enjoyable day. The visiting team was moot hospitably entertained to morning tea ; dinner and afternoon tea; the wicket (matting on grates), played perfectly; the trip through, a distance of 54. miles from Otaki via Aokautcre, taking a little over two hours, was very pleasant; and lastly the visitors happening to register a win, all contributed towards the success of the day. The Woodville Club had five of their regular members absent, and so had to place a weaker eleven in the field. Bull batted well for 59, hitting two sixes and eight fours —he was missed twice —S Simeox (seven fours) Pringle, R. Simcox; and D'Ath also reached double figures. For Woodville Stephens played exceedingly carefully for his 26 (1 four), while Nair, Grant, Goodwill and Ramsden also reached double figures. .COMBINED XI.
