SHANNON SCHOOL

HEADMASTER APPOINTED,

Through a misunderstanding tli3 name of the appointed applicant to the headmastership of the Shannon School- was incorrectly given in our last issue. The teacher selected is Mr A. A. Wedde, who has high qualifications. Ho has been an organising teacher under the Wellington Board for some years, and has considerable musical talent. A melody written by Mr Wedde to the words of "My Land,'' a national song, was highly spoken of by Mr G-. Douglas Tayler, Supervisor of Musical Education, and recommended for use in the schobls.
