AN AGE OF TRAVEL
OVER EIGHT HUNDRED MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES . COUNTED AT SHOW. An official count of the.motor ears and other vehicles parked inside and outside the gates at the Levin A. and P. Show discloses the fact that the total for the two days was 680, exclusive of exhibitors’ and official cars and other vehicles, which bring the number '’to 835. Such an aggergat.ion of means of transport is a striking testimony to an age of travel, as well as popularity of the Show, The-figures, whieh were 'collected l>y the Borough Inspector, Mr W. J. Gulnan, between 2.45 and 3 p.in. on-each day of the Show, are given in the following table:—

Oars 68 81 Traps ' ’ ' 87 68 • Total .. 155 Grand- Total 835 In addition, hundreds of riders, of push bicycles visited the Show, and the count detailed above does not include buses and taxi-cars that were coming and going yesterday. A fullyladen charabanc arrived from Foxton, and a bus. from the southern end of the district made several trips. The Show traffic figures eclipse the returns for Election Night and Christmas Eve, on which occasions there were lespectively 209 and 342 cars parked in the central streets of the town.
