LEVIN PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the Plunket; Society was held on November sth. Present: Mesdamos Hobson (chair), Park, Keedwell, Percy, Thomson, Clark, Bartholomew, Thompson, Davie and Smaill. There were also seven members from Shannon sub-branch. Apologies were received from Mesdames Sevan, O'Connor, Denton, Goldsmith and Miss Hitchcock.
The nurse's report was as follows: Sixty-eight visits were paid to Levin homes, and 136 adults, 105 babies, and 27 older children visited the Plunket rooms; 17 visits were pai«l to homes in Shannon, where 52 adults, 42 babies, and eight old children visited the rooms.
Subscriptions received during the month: Mr Hudson £1 Is, Mrs Franco 10s, Mrs Standen, Mrs Verity, Madame de Roux, Mrs Butt, Mrs Woollett, Mrs Gardner, Mrs L. Griffiths, Mrs W. Walker, Mrs L. Macdonald, 5s each. After the meeting, the committee invited the Shannon members to afternoon tea at the Oxford tea rooms, and later a visit was made to the new Plunket toorns, which are nearly completed.
