"THE WIZARD." "The Wizard," a mystery photo/ drama produced by Fox Films with Edmund Lowe, will be screened at the Maoriland Theatre on Wednesday. "The Wizard" is based on the sensational French play "Balaoo" by Gaston Leroux and is. the story of an. eccentric scientists who humanizes an ape to do his bidding and to revenge him for fancied wrongs. Thrills, mystery, suspense and a fine love i»t«reet hold the audience every moment during the showing of the picture, while the comic relief furnished by the two darkies in the role of house servants brings much laughter, which relieves the tension of the more sombre moments of this picture. . Edmund Lowe, as the reporter who finally solves the mystery of the human like ape, gives a fine performance with inimitable humor and Leila Hyams as the girl in the story is demurely sweat and a splendid actress-. Von Seyffertitz as the eccentric scientist and George Kotsonaros as the ape are convincingly brutal and together furnish many thrills. This is one that is certain to entertain every type of theatre loveL
