MESSRS ABRAHAM & WILLIAMS.
Reporting on the weekly stock sale held at Levin on Tuesday, Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., jstaite that there was a large attendance ; of the public, and a good yarding of all classes of stock, which met with keen competition at late rates. They quote as under: —
Sheep.—Prime woolly wethers £2 3s, prime fat ewes (shorn) 28s, good woolly mixed sex hoggets 39s 3d, 'forward, four-tooth wethers 38s 9d, woolly wether hoggets 325, small hoggets 2os. Cattle.—Fat cows £8 to £lO ss, forward cows £i 7s 6d to £5 Is, store eows £3 15s to £4, yearling Jersey and Holstein bulls £5, £6, £9, £lO, three-year pedigree Jersey bull £l4 14s, yearling Jersey heifers £5, £5 Is, to £7 10s. I Pigs.—Weauers 10s to 14s, slips 17s ! 6d to 21s, stores 27s to 28s, light porkers 38s to £2 4s, medium porkers £2 7s, heavy porkers £2 10s to £2 13s. . SHANNON SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that at their Shannon sale on Monday there was a good attendance. A medium yarding of sheep and cattle and a few pigs were offered, and practically a -clearance was effected under the hammer. Quotations are as follows: — ' " Sheep.—Fat woolly wethers £2 2s, good mixed sex hoggets 36s Id, shorn ewes and lambs at foot 395. - Cattle.—Fat cows £6 ss, £6 10s, £7 to £9 10s, forward cows £4 os, £5 to £5 173 fc'd, yearling Jersey heifers £5 18s, store cows £3 los to £4, yearling Jersey bulls £6 10s, £B, £9. Pigs.—Slips 18s 6d.
