PIGS IN LARGE SUPPLY.

The weekly stock sale at the Levin yards Tuesday was well attended, despite showery weather. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having offered moderate entries of sheep and cattle and a heavy yarding of pigs.. Porkers, of which a large number came forward, were of good quality, and were keenly competed for at late rates. Stoic pigs were in over-supply, and showed a marked decline, of 4s to 6s all 1 round. Quotations are as under:-^-Skecp.—-Fat wethers £2 Is &d to £2 6s, hoggets 27s fid to 28s, ewes 24s Id, ewes in lamb 27s 6d. Cattle.—Fat cows £4 15s to £6 7s 6d, forward cows £3 Is, springing .heifers £7 12s ,6d to £9 ss, springing cows £8 10s. / Pigs. —Weaners Gs 6d to 11s, slips 12s to 20s, stores 16s to 22s 6d, porkers £2 to £2 15s.
