MATCH AGAINST N.E, DISTRICTS. STRANG KICKS THREE GOALS, NICHOLLS TWO. ROBILLIARD SECURES TWO TRIES CAPETOWN, August 1. The All Blacks played the fifteenth match of their tour to-day when they met North-eastern Districts at Burghersdorp. The half-time score was:— All Blacks 19 N.E. Districts ... 0 The final score was All Blacks 27 ! N.E. Districts ....... 0 HOW THE SCORES CAME. i" _______ BURGHERSDORP, Aug. 1. The All Blacks were in scoring mood to-day, when they beat 'North-Eastern Districts by 27 to nil. The attendance was three thousand. The ground was sandy, with patches of grass. ' Burrows made his appearance. Strang played in Dalley's place; and did well. New Zealand were attacking during most of the game, but the first score was.a penalty kicked by ; Strang, eight minutes from the start. 3 —o. A sparkling back movement ended in Robilliard scoring behind the posts. Strang goaled. B—o. The next score was a penalty kicked by Nicholls, forty yards out. 11—0. The North-Easterners, put on steam for. a little, biit their hand-; ling was weak. Burrows got off from a* line-out and handed to Brownlie to score j an easy try. Nicholls goaled. 16—0. Play had hardly re-started when Strang worked the blind side of the scrum and Rushbrook scored, Nicholls just missing with the kick at goal. 19—0. ■ In the second spell the All Blacks scored at once, Robilliard getting over at the corner. Strang's, kick missed. 22—0. The North-Easterners made a struggle, but without avail. Nicholls ran 40 yards and then passed to Lucas, who scored under the posts, Strang* converting. 27 —0. ■ ' ■ \ The only other incident was that the referee cautioned the men for talking and sent Stewart off, but Nicholls and Brownlie intervened and the matter passed off. Sheen will play no more this tour, and C. Brownlie will be Unable to appear for some weeks owing to a knee injury.

BOOKING CLOSES FOR FINAL TEST. A HUNDRED LOCKED OUT. CAPETOWN, August 1. A hundred people formed a queue all night to book seats for the'All Blacks' final test (to be played at Capetown on September Ist), and all seats were sold within an hour, with still a hundred persons waiting.

There is still the third test to be played as well, this fixture being for August 18th at Port Elizabeth. DISTRICT COMPETITIONS. PLIMMER TERRACE v. BALLANCE

A final reminder is given that the annual football match between representatives of Plimmer Terrace and Ballance Street will take place on the Domain at the week end commencing at 2.30 p.m. This event is always looked forward to by local football asts, and judging by the personnel of the teams selected, everything points to a very keen contest. Several of the players have undergone hard training and the teams as a whole are very fit. We understand that Plimmer Terrace have been practising the three-two-threc scrum formation which they will play on the day, contending that they will thus be able to get the advantages in the serums. It is the intention of the promoters to take up a collection at the gate, the proceeds from which is to be devoted to the relief of local unemployed.
