At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union last evening, a letter was received from the ManawatuHorowhenua Union, advising that ' it was the wish of Manawhenua • that the match on August 11th at Christchurch be set down as a Ranfurly Shield game. The writers asked for Canterbury's confirmation of the challenge, and confirmation was agreed to. TO TRAIN FOR BEBBINGTON SHIELD.
