1 «« SLIDE, KELLY, SLIDE.' ' One of the most delightful comedies of 1926 was Marshall Neilan's production "Mike," in which the leading players were the then almost unknown William Haines and Sally . O'Neil.. It tells the story of Jim Kelly, a clever baseball player, comes from the country to the city to enter professional baseball. He know s he is brilliant, . and "tells the world." Though arrogant and a little 'swelled headed" he is at heart sound and straight. He attains brilliant success and popularity with the crowd, at the expense of his team mates' friendship. When he ' can no longer be tolerated, he is suspended from the team. Then, through the faith of a small boy, a sweet girl's love, and his ' own natural manliness,' . he- wins back, and, by brilliant play "gains his team a coveted victory. The picture will be shown on Saturoay night in Shannon. "THE ISLE OF RETRIBITION." On Monday night a gripping drama will be presented, featuring several well-known stars. It is entitled "The Isle of Retribution."
