COMING MATCHES AT SHANNON. At a meeting of the Manawatu Rugbv Council last week a letter was received from the Hprowhenua Union acknowledging receipt of a letter from the Manawatu-llorowhenua Rugby Council, embodying the suggestion that Horowlienua play the Manawatu Union “B” representative match, as a curtain-raiser to the “A'’ game at Shannon on June 23. The Horowlienua Union was agreeable to the proposal, and suggested the game be played at 1 p.m. It was agreed that the “B” representative game be played, provided that the starting times be 1.30 p.m.. for the ££ B” game and 3 p.m. for the “A” match. Motor conveyance will be arranged. Mr R. Sands was selected as referee for the “A” match, and Mr T. Parata for the £< B” game.
