SOCIAL AND PRIZEGIVING. Th annual social and prize giving held in the Parish Hall was well attended by parents qnd scholars and a pleasant time was spent. After Die tea, which was done full justice-to by the voung folk items were contributed as follows:—Pianoforte duet, Misses A and V. Aim; recitation, Jean Hill; solo. Miss S. Quarrie; recitation, Dons Tremewan; solo, Mrs Riches; recitation, Joyce Ingley; recitation, Jean Hill; solo, Miss A. Aim; dialogue; adults. . Opportunity was taken during tm evening of bidding farewell to Mr and’Mrs Riches and family, and on liehalf of the Sunday School scholars and teachers, the Rev. Mr Edmondson presented Mr Riches, who has been superintendent for some time, with a gold pencil. He referred, to the esteem m which Mr Riches was held and expressed much regre.t at the departure of the faihily from Shannon. , Mr Riches suitably replied. ' .
