MAORILAND THEATRE.
TWO STARS ON WEDNESDAY.
To-morrow night’s bill at the Maoriland Theatre is enriched with two put- j standing pictures. First, is a comedydrama of domestic life that will cause not only young lovers, but married folk, to hold hands while they see it. Tliis is First National’s “Lonesome Ladies.” Lewis Stone and Anna Q. Nilsson are eo-featured in the picture. In addition to the above there will be screened one of the most inteiest- * ing and educational travel films ever shown in Shannon, entitled “India To-day.” This picture takes one on a journey of 8000 miles through India, showing splendid scenes of the country and life in the cities; also the life and customs of the different religious castes. The picture is one of the best of its kind and picture patrons should not miss seeing it. RAMON NOVARRO AS “THE MIDSHIPMAN.” Fresh, with the salt tang of the' ocean, packed with the romance of a sailor’s life, throbbing witlf the story of a love that counted no sacrifice too great, alive with thrills that grip the heart, and quicken the pulse, real melodrama —that is “The Midshipman.” It features Roman Novarro, who starred in Ben Hur. The story briefly is , that of Dick Randall who enters the ; United States Naval Academy at Annapolis in the footsteps of his father. His pal, a young freshman, gets into trouble, and' Dick is ordered to arrest him. The freshman’s sister, •whom Dick loves, pleads with him to save her brother, despite duty. Dick, however,! eventually find a way out and wins the girl.
