“THE RED MILL"
—SATURDAY.
The musical comedy, "The Red Mill," has stood the test of time for nearly a quarter of a century. During those years it has fascinated and delighted every English-speaking country with its haunting melodies, brilliant comedy, and romantic story. Even now one hears its captivating tunes. \As a motion picture, "The , Red Mill" has scored instant popularity. This merry, lilting tale of Tuliptime and winter snows amongst the mills and maidens of Holland has a fragrant charm that few pictures possess. It passes from frolicsome lightness to deep drama- — and sweeps to a climax of mighty power. It will be screened in Shannon on Saturday. "THE COWBOY MUSKETEER." On Monday at Shannon and on Saturday a* Tokomaru, "The Cowboy Musketeer" will head the bill. "The Cowboy Musketeer" is, by all odds the best material which has been given Mr Tyler to date. The story, which is the work of Buckleigh Oxford, differs from the average western yard in almost every essential save thrills. There are hair-raising stunts, and fights aplenty ; but they are motivated logically and worked into the story’with a naturalness that is delightful as well as illuminating. There is comedy, too —and a wealth of local colour which brings back the old days of the rugged west, and the hardships of the pioneers who fought their way through untold difficulties in their battle against an uncompromising nature.
