MOTORS IN FINLAND
Finland is one of the latest countries td demand extensive motor transport. Nearly 8000 cars, trucks, and buses wore imported during 1927. A year ago Finland had 12,200 cars, 1500 buses, and 42,000 trucks on the roads. This provided one motor vehicle to every 197 people. Inadequate railway facilities are responsible for the brisk demand for motor vehicles, and the transport of the country is being assisted by tlie fact that the import- duties on cars iB only 8J per cent., while the annual tax averages only £2 5s per vehicle.
