STEAM CARS

The steam car still has adherents and there are some who believe that when boilers are improved this type of vehicle will become a sdrious rival to the orthodox motor. A British firm, which has been largely concerned with the design and building of commercial steam waggons, has produced a very compact type of boiler which is claimed to be suitable for private car use. Capacity for the continuous do velopment of over 50 Drake h.p. The steel boiler tubes are safe up to 8000 lbs. per square inch., With this type of boiler in view, the British Stoao. Car Association, an organisation of users of various makes of steam cars, continues to sponsor steam propulsion.
