MR PETER EADIE REPORTED MISSING.
Mr Peter A. Eadie, who is wrellknown throughout the Dominion, is reported missing. He booked a passage to Lyttelton by the Waliine on Wednesday last, but when the vessel arrived at Lyttelton is was found that Mr Eadie’s bunk had not been slept in, although his coat and bag were in the cabin.
Until recently Mr Eadie was proprietor 1 of the “New Zealand Scotsman,’.’ and since the beginning of this year has been employed as an advertising canvasser. lie was particularly well known in Palmerston North, having been a prominent figure at the A. and P. Shows and at all Scottish gatherings. Mr Eadie was a popular humorous elocutionist and his services were in great demand at social gatherings. ■
