MANGAORE v. MANGAHAO,

The Mangaore and Mangaliao Tennis Clubs met at the Mangaore Courts on Saturday afternoon last in a “conqueror” match, resulting in a win for the home team by one game., Tea-was dispensed with by the ladies and an en joyable- time was spent by both players and spectators. The_ following are ,the scores, Mangaore being mentioned first in each case: —

Men’s Singles—G. Owen (6) v. H. W. Bell (1). Men’s Doubles. —Symons and _ King (2) v. Boyes and Hume (6), I)urgis and Hartley (6) v. Wright and Reinke (4). Ladies’ Doubles—Miss Blackwood and Mrs King (2) v. Misses Whiteford and Robinson (6), Mrs Elvines and Miss Robinson (6) v. Misses Ross and Williams (5). Combined Doubles —Symons and Miss Blackwood ’(6) v - Boyes and Miss Whiteford (5), King and Mrs King (4) v. Hume and Miss L. Robinson (6), Rurgis and Mrs Elvines (6) v. Wright and'Miss Ross (5), Hartley and Miss F. Robinson (6) v. Reinke and Miss Williams (3). Totals—Mangaore, 43 games; Mangahao, 42 games. MANGAORE v. MIRANUI. During the week-end a team of six men from, the Miranui Club visited Mangaore and played a series of friendly games, resulting in an easy win for the visitors.
