MR J. H. TAYLOR FOR MANAWATU. Unanimously selected by the Labour organisations throughout the Manawatu electorate, the Labour Representation Committee has declared Mr J. H. Taylor the candidate to carry Labour’s banner at the next election. Born in Yorkshire, England, Mr Taylor came to New Zealand as a young man, and followed the footsteps of hisjforebears in x selecting fanning as an occupation. After many vicissitudes, he settled in the Ihakara district, where he has a highly-improved farm, and a fine herd of pedigree* Jerseys. Mr Taylor has been a member of the Levin branch of the N.Z.'Labour Party for many ■years'and has filled the office of president on many occasions. He fought the Oroua seat and though defeated, he put up a good fight, iHe has been an officer of the Dairy Farmers’Union, and also a member of the District Repatriation Committee. ,
