OLYMPIC GAMES.
APPEAL FOR FUNDS. The Olympic Gaines Council has issued the following appeal: — “Gentlemen,—The Commissioner of Police has kindly consented to my Council placing Subscription lists in the various police stations of the Dominion. My Council realises that in the force, we liave the best of sportsmen, and. that an appeal such as this will meet with a ready response. “We are out in quest of £IO,OOO to enable us to send a team of 20 athletes to the great games at Amsterdam in July of this year. £IO,OOO sounds beyond us, but if all our sportsmen, woiild give just a shilling each, we would soon accumulate the required stun. “You can give your own small donation and induce others to do likewise. If ‘from all the stations we receive our lists fully filled, the New* Zealand police force will figure prominently in this Dominion effort. “Please treat the appeal as urgent and return forms by March 20th. — Yours faitlifull, pp. New Zealand Olympic Association, (signed) H. Amos, chairman, C. C. Camp, hon. secretary.“
